The Blue Hill Historical Society was founded in 1902 for the purpose of preserving the heritage of the Town of Blue Hill, Maine, U.S.A. The Society’s home and headquarters is in the Holt House, a historic house museum at the center of town, at 3 Water Street, at the intersections of Rts. 177 and 172.

The Blue Hill Historical Society is housed in The Holt House, built in 1815 by Jeremiah Thorndike Holt. Explore local history at this historic house museum from July 5th to September 14th, Tuesday and Fridays 1:00pm – 4:00pm, and Saturdays 11:00am – 2:00pm.
